Course Overview

This is the first course in the Statistical Analysis and Data Visualization part of the Data Science and Business Analytics program. Data visualization helps us present information and insights in a manner that audiences can easily understand. This session will help you understand why we need data visualization and its purpose in a business environment.

Why enroll in this course?

Most organizations today solve business problems via a thorough examination of available data using visualizations. This course will teach you how to use visualizations to explore and explain data.

What will you learn?

By the end of the module, you will have learned:

  • Why data visualizations are helpful in a business environment
  • The objective of visualizing data
  • How different types of data can be presented visually
  • How to conduct univariate analysis by creating a variety of visualizations

Structure

The course is completely self paced. It will take you approximately 15 hours to complete all three modules. Activities include, video lessons, readings, and self reflection activities. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion.
